Blood Money is a crime thriller movie released in 2003. A group of terrorists are being hunted by the CIA when they decide to kidnap the children of some wealthy ambassadors living in London, so they can demand a ransom for their release. The kidnappers are led by their "mastermind" Mohammed Samir, who orchestrates the kidnapping from behind his computer screen. He assigns one member to monitor each kid's cell phone and text him if it rings, while he uses software that prevents outgoing calls. When the parents realize what has happened, they are frantic with worry about their children's lives. They report the kidnappings to the police, who commence investigating their disappearance. However, the CIA follows a lead that leads them to a different conclusion. Mohammed Samir was a British citizen who lived in London, and had been a trusted friend of the family before he betrayed them and joined Al Qaeda to help establish a cell in Britain. They believe that Samir has taken these children in order to groom them as future terrorists for his organization. When Mohammed realizes the police are looking for his real identity, he steals one of his victims' laptops and uses it to access anonymous email using an untraceable server overseas. The police are already aware of this plan, and the CIA is able to discover the scheme and track him down. They determine that one of the kids is still alive and attempt to rescue him. During the ensuing chaos, all of Mohammed's henchmen are killed and Mohammed and his accomplice flee into a subway station with a hostage. The CIA team follows them inside, where they kill Samir's accomplice and corner him. He turns to fire at them, but is gunned down by one of the rescue squad before he is able to pull the trigger. The children are saved and reunited with their families. The movie ends with CIA agents giving a press conference, but not revealing their identities or motivations. The film was written by Stewart Harcourt and Chris Seewald, with Laeta Kalogridis set to direct from a script she wrote with Lee Fleming Jr. David Leitch will reportedly produce the project, whose shooting location is still unknown at this time.
